BTW - I checked my archives today and I have other photos of this rig from 1999 on and some do not have goldleaf on the doors and others have "Elkridge" clearly visible so I assume that some work was done along the way to improve cosmetics.[/quote]
That is because the paint on the front fenders had faded to the black primer during the 20 years OVFC had it - the only thing they ever put on the truck was a magnetic sign saying Orleans VFC on each cab door. The paint job as a whole was badly faded.
