Engine 181: 2001 Pierce Dash 1250/500-20/40
This is a 1998 Saber model, which started at E181 and was eventually assigned to E182, then LT183, then LT181. This was the only Saber Goodyear ever bought, to replace the 1992 Lance at E181. They started buying Dash models after that (pumpers and tower), before moving to KME a few years ago.
This rig was recently refurbished by Fire Trucks Unlimited and is now in service at Buckeye Valley.
Here is a photo of the Saber (right) with Goodyear’s first Dash (left), circa 2001. Subtle differences between them but they are different.
