This shot shows the roll-up door open and the fold down step in the down position. This was a demo rig, then loaned to the Vo-Tec school in Ocala, where it was used to practice numerous paint jobs. It has less than 1500 miles on it and is the fifth Daytona I've shot.
I know of two departments in PA that have a Daytona in service, where did you find the others? I have heard numbers ranging 5-12 of this model ever manufactured.
Which two? I photographed one in Flatwoods, PA that originally served Jackson Center. The one I posted here was later sold to Bangor, PA and both are still in service at those two locations, as far as I know.
I have photographed three others. They originally served East Lake, FL; Tallahassee, FL and Kettering, OH. One of those three was sold to Garrison, KY. I have heard there are others, but I have not confirmed any.
