The apparatus situation in Atlanta, GA is not good, with the reserve fleet virtually depleted and the parts supply chain running at a snail's pace. Not long ago, I posted a photo of one of three dedicated reserve engines (a fourth is coming). The City has purchased three modern "city service trucks", with two or three more on order, to be dedicated reserve truck company apparatus. So far, two are in service, with the third still being outfitted. Truck 11's platform was wrecked not long ago and will not be repaired. Truck 2's TDA has also been out for quite a while. In the meantime, T-11 has been running in a mini-pumper and T-2 has been in the pickup truck that carries the giant air bag for jumpers. Now, both are running these new rigs, dubbed "Hybrid Truck Companies". Each carries all truck company tools and gear, plus extrication equipment and a full complement of ground ladders.
