Ironville
1977 Ford C8000/Hamerly, full cab, 1000/2500, cabinet style tandem axle tanker. Sold in 2001 to a fire company in the AR.
Florin
1980 Ford C8000/Pierce, canopy cab, 1000/750, top-mount pump panel, purchased 6/80, 3208 Cat diesel, automatic. The pump was rebuilt in 1991, it has a 3.5 Winco generator. Retained in 2001 when the department merged with Mount Joy. Moved to the downtown station. For sale in 2001. Finally sold in 01/02 to Sunbury (McIntosh County, GA).
Lititz
1977 Seagrave, P-series, canopy cab, 1000/1000, long wheelbase and body, 6V-92 Detroit diesel, automatic. This was the first rig ordered with a automatic transmission. Sold in 1998 through Northeast Fire Apparatus.
Downingtown-Alert
1969 Mack CF-685-F12, canopy cab, 1250/300, delivered 1/20/69. This was the first unit ordered with the all yellow paint scheme, nicknamed “Yellow Bird”, 6 cylinder Mack ENDT675 diesel, 5-speed manual transmission. It was rehabed and repainted by LTI in 1986. Replaced and put up for bid in early 1999, only one bid from H.J. Usher of Downingtown for $3,000, rejected by the borough. Mr. Usher eventually purchased it.
