Because id like to try my hand at it.
It depends on what I need to correct. For removing things like poles, wires, reflections, etc., I use MS Paint to copy and paste away the things I don't want. For brightness and contrast issues, along with resizing for internet use, I have Adobe Photoshop 7. It took me a while, but I finally am getting the hang of it.
I print each rig in 3.5" x 5" (by the time 4"x 6" became "standard", I already had over 10,000 rigs, so I never switched) and keep in albums that hold 480 prints each. I just finished integrating over 700 rigs from 2025 into the albums, which are grouped by State and by department. The 21,658 apparatus are in 50 albums. All pertinent info is kept in a database.
Many of my early shots were not as good as the newer ones, mainly lighting or cropping issues. I will soon begin another "project", going through the albums and removing such pics, re-scanning them and correct the problems, then print the results to put back in the albums. This should improve the overall quality of my collection. Well, that's the plan......
