Finally kicking off the new year, Chad, Punkin, and I spent Thursday fighting the clouds west and north of Atlanta. We met at Douglas County Station 9 under completely overcast skies that the weathermen said would NOT be there, decided to head north to Polk County where it promised to lighten up sooner. It began to get better by our third stop and we had full sun before lunch. Our last stop was back at Douglas 9 and arrived just before they got toned out on a commercial structure alarm (4 engines, 2 trucks and a heavy).
