When the Albany, GA Flint River site was closed in 2007 the truck, since it was set up for chemicals and could not be converted, was sent to the Stonewall site with one of his co-workers when they transferred. I had hoped it would make it to the new site they were opening since so much of my childhood was on that truck! I remember the first day this truck was on site and how proud he was. Dad was the Fire chief for years. I think I have a picture somewhere of when he was in WI to see it come off the line.
A Merck facility was closed (I believe in Flint River, Georgia), and as a result, one of the Merck trucks was reassigned to the Elkton facility. The Elkton facility just received this engine in 2007.
