Thursday, June 11th, began the annual pilgrimage to the Fire Truck Festival at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. Our group met up at Spartanburg, SC Station 1 with the intended target of a new Pierce TDA, but it was on display at a conference in Myrtle Beach. Unlike The Silent One, Micah Bodford and myself, the other two guys, Chad Barday and Robert "Punkin" Duncan, photographed the other apparatus that we already had. We would hit another stop in Spartanburg County, then move northeast into Cherokee County, SC and then into Gaston County, NC for the afternoon. The sun was out, but the temperature and humidity were both well into the 90's.
