Don't you mean the 74 Seagrave TDA that HVFD got in 1991 after a loonngg rehab by Interstate? It served until 1996 when the ill-fated Pierce TDA was delivered. It then went to Riviera Beach VFD in Anne Arundel Co., and then to Balto. City.
A little Hyattsville truck co. history(thanks to the book,"Fire Call" by Francis Geary): 2nd hand wooden 65' aerial from DCFD in 1928-29, drawn by a Nash tractor, replaced 1941 by a ALF 500series 65' mid-mount with pump. This was replaced in 1962 by a Alf 900 series 100' TDA which was then retractored in 1972 with a Alf 1000series tractor and this combo served until the late 1980's.
Also please note that the 2 Hyattsville pics were taken in 1977; the 74 Seagrave would still have been very much in service with FDNY...
