Tom,
Additional info on the Lancaster Fire School rig:
1949 Dodge/General, full cab, 500/400, originally owned by the Friendship Fire Comapny of Mount Joy (Lancaster County, PA), donated by company member Kauffman Keller, original motor replaced in 1957 with a 354 cc V-8 Hemi. On 10/13/74 it was donated to the Lancaster County Fire School who had it rehabed (new 500 gallon tank) and repainted by the Vo-Tech students. It was made available to any company in the county who needed a truck on loan for any reason. The pump was overhauled in 1976. It had a 5-speed manual transmission with a two-speed rear. By 2005 owned by an individual in Hershey, PA who had purchased it for the driveline only – was selling it on E-bay on 9/27/05.
I do not know what happened to it after this ?
