Some additional Loudoun County news.
Loudoun County has had explosive growth over the last 10 years or so and the fire department has been challenged to keep pace with this growth. The county had several "temporary" stations built, with the expectation that new stations would be built.
In 2001, the Arcola Pleasant Valley VFD and Loudoun County began a joint adventure to build and staff the South Riding Fire station. Arcola provided much of the apparatus, and Loudoun County provided paid staff.
Here is the first Station 19 in South Riding. Housed at Station 19 is Engine 619, Ambulance 619, HAZMAT 619, and the HAZMAT Support 619.
Ashburn's Moorefield Station (Station 23) is also in temporay quarters.
