With a reliable source telling me, the lettering and paint scheme you see is what all the "Old Maxims" in Melrose were painted like, E1 had a 1957, E2 a 1954 and E3 a 1947... Maybe HOWIE and get some photos from his archive instead of Posting "Fire Helmets" <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> in another thread. ALSO for those that want to know. They will be painting E3 to match E2 and Hook and Ladder 1........ SO hurry up and get your photos of E3..... Does any body have a photo of it lettered E1 ? ?
