Ok...breaking my rule with this being a "Virginia" post, but I thought I would include a few West Virginia trucks that I was able to photograph while traveling for a business trip.
Morgantown, West Virginia - I was looking for my hotel when I came across this interesting squad. This ALF use to be a aerial truck (WaterChief) and the FD converted it to a squad when the ladder had numerous mechanical problems.
Here is the info I have on it....
Heavy Rescue 1
1978 American LaFrance/1995 FD
s/n CE-14-5755
ex- Morgantown Aerial ladder truck
I was told the FD completed the entire squad box. Appears they got the compartments from another truck (probably the old ladder truck). Due to be replaced. Would anyone have a photo of this truck when it was a ladder truck?
