I list this as being purchased new by the Philadelphia Steam Fire Engine Company-Pottstown (Montgomery Co.),PA in 9-59. Were 700 series built as late as 1959?? It is reported to be one of the last 700s built?? It was originally painted all red. In 11-73 after being scorched at a fire at the Hill School in Pottstown it was repainted by Hamerly white over lime yellow. Obviously the cab front lighting was upgraded at that time or before. In 1987 it was sold to Elkland (Tioga Co.)PA where it received the white over red paint job. In 1999 it was sold to a TX location.
