1958 Mack B-85/Harwick purchased new by Wyndmoor Hose-Springfield Twp. (Montgomery Co.),PA. Equipped with Hale 1000 psi high-pressure booster pump and 300 gal tank. Unique body which needs to be viewed up close to appreciate all of its details and the Harwick touch. Its extended bumper has a 6-ton center mounted winch. It was used as a heavy rescue unit. The body area behind the cab which is covered by a canopy roof has bench seats under it. The rear portion of the body is accessible from a center walkway at the back step. It has 14 compartments and is powerd by a Thermodyne 707 gas motor. In 1976 it was sold to Columbia No.1-Columbia (Lancaster Co.),PA. In 1978 it was sold to Mount Carbon (Schuylkill Co.),PA. In 1995 it was owned by a collector in Tremont,PA. It was then sold to a collector in NY state. In 2005 Wyndmoor re-purchased it from an individual in MA. The body is in poor condition having sat outside in more recent years. It is still driveable but is extremely tired. Wyndmoor has intentions to restore it.
