That almost happened. Once I had secured it's replacement, I sold it to my #2 son. His 1993 Chrysler LeBaron (Spirit clone) was having transmission issues. A week later, he blew the main seal out of the Spirit's motor. The seal costs less than 5 bucks, but it takes 8 hours to replace it! After that was repaired, he drove it for another two weeks and then the ignition switch self-destructed. That was a more costly repair ($15), but only took about 30 minutes. He's been driving it ever since. I had retired the car because I felt it wasn't up to cross-country trips anymore. Guess I was correct. My son drives it about 150 miles a week, so it should last him a while. Oh, and a $30 transmission computer out of the local salvage yard cured the problem with his other car, so now he has a spare!
