Technically the city of Peabody holds the title, so according to our higher ups, they are handling the disposal. I would imagine that anyone interested could probably pay a visit to Chief Pasdon and plead their case.
This has happened numerous times before as some here may know. The truck was slated to be shipped to Australia via military transport but that fell through. There have been numerous inquiries into the rig over the years that seem to get caught up in " they own it, no we do, no its' the county, etc".
