I think its just the impression it gives that EMS Lt's are getting the "nicer, larger" vehicle as opposed to BC's. To be honest, I wish they were all getting the larger vehicles as well. I think they "fit" into the fleet better and would be safer in an accident. I actually wish they would have looked at Tahoe's. The ones the police just got are SWEET!!
Many of the BC's that I have talked to said if they have to get out of the car, they'd rather have a crew cab pick up. I think that would be good as well. Definitely more versatile.
As I understand it, the new pumpers are in town. Well kind of, at Pro-Fire in Olive Branch. I may try to get some pics tomorrow.
