VFN102 - Fairfax County did originally designate Falls Church VFD as "Company 6" within the county system (and 7 as the academy). Not sure when the shift occurred that put them in Arlington's system.

Co. 7 was originally the radio designator for OWL in Prince WIlliam before the Academy was built in the early '60's. What was neat to watch was the ladder truck backing into the "old" station across all four lanes of Lee Hwy. and into the lot across the street. The other "fun" thing to watch was the pumpers bouncing over the rail crossings on Lee Hwy. and Wilson Blvd.
