I am flying out of Hanscom with a Woburn Firefighter who is a plane owner. We have flown several times in the past, and we landed sideways at Hanscom one day - luckily there was NO other traffic in the pattern and we made it a touch and go! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Last time we were flying, we could see a fire in the Hampton Beach area of NH, but we had a mission - I had a list of photos for clients - and we never made the fire.
Kevin - do you fly out of Beverly or Hanscom? And yes you are correct about the wing struts and the non-opening windows, but you do the best with what you can. As long as you have a pilot that is good with directions - my guy is great - I can ask him pretty much to put us anywhere and he can do it - then you can compensate for the wings and struts etc.
