No need to be hesitant about jumping in. I believe he was being fastidious, but I could be wrong. Also, he does have a point about a "real truck" not having a pump. A truck with a pump is a Quint. Also, he was speaking in terms as it relates to us here in Boston. We currently operate 34 Engines, 18 Ladders, 3 Towers and 2 Rescues covering 47.3 square miles and serving a permanent population of 575,000 making Quints for all intents and purposes, unnecessary.
