I've spoken to three people today that actually remember this rig. They confirmed that the "camper top" was an add on. I'm now on the look-out for a shot before the roof. I understand that it was originally Ladder #8 on Carnegie Street. At some point, the ladder company was moved from #23 to #8's "new" station on Marietta Blvd. Truck #8 was taken out of service in the early 90's.
