Look what I found out in West Virginia?
I spent a few days in West Virginia this week for work and the GPS had me go by a small town named Circleville. As soon as I saw the sign I recognized the name and remembered that an old Loudoun County fire truck was once in service in Circleville....and still is.
This is Sterling's old ladder truck (their first ladder truck). Sterling sold it to Purcellville, Virginia (Station 2 in Loudoun) who had it rehabed by inmates from a Virginia prison. When Purcellville received their KME tower, they sold the Seagrave to Circleville, West Virginia in 2003. Obviously, very few changes have been made to the Seagrave since Circleville received it - it is still marked as Truck 2. I was disappointed that the Circleville name was not on the Seagrave.
