Charlotte's tankers serve two main purposes
rovide adequate water to areas lacking hydrants and serve as foam tenders for foam operations. They can also be used as a backup engine and it is my understanding that when they are serving in this capacity, they use the 70-series number on the truck. Otherwise, when used as a tanker they follow the station number that they are assigned to. Corrections?
