1000 Acre is a very popular local fishing hole. I saw lots of fish jumping and a few in the nests (yes, fish nests) near the shore. The state may also stock it with trout, but I am not sure. I've also seen bears, deer, turtles, and a long time ago a snake in the water that was at least 6 feet long. The state park is not very well known, but try goggling Cookson State Forest. For more info - gots to get to work.
