With the amount of departments in the St. Louis Metro and the excellent mutual aid agreements, a more organized numbering system was needed.
The new Pacific 6114 was ordered with Valley Park 1924. The main difference in the two trucks will be Valley Park has a raised cab (and of course color.) Both trucks are 1000gal water and 30gal foam. Pacific now has two nearly identical Pierce Arrows inservice as 6114 and 6124.
