Yeah it gets even worse when I float to a field unit. We used to differentiate shifts on the 12-HR units by designating the day trucks "Medic XX01" and the night trucks "Medic XX02" like Medic 1801 or Medic 202 so EMS Communications and scheduling could more easily keep track of which units still needed to get back to station for crew change. They just recently did away with that and old habits die hard.
