1972 Oshkosh A-series/Pierce, low-profile Cincinnati canopy cab, 85 ft Snorkel elevating platform, quint, $103,885, 1000/200, housed 9-9-72, tandem rear axles, purchased by borough, chassis cost $24,503-Pierce body-$38,063-Snorkel $31,548, purchased through Glenn D.Culbert Co.for $105,402, GDC commission was $5000, Snorkel model 85-SFF-AS-AL, Waukesha F8176 motor, Spicer 6852 trans, Pirsch ground ladders specified, on 6-28-84 cab windows shattered from heat at lumber yard fire, boom painted white with black lettering POTTSTOWN FIRE DEPT., in 2002 $8000 in repairs required-borough balked at spending the money-co.sought replacement-borough balked again, in 10-02 PAFM pg 164 offered for sale by borough, on 4-14-03 sold out-of-fire service for $5000 leaving the co.without an aerial apparatus- dubbed the white elephant, in 2003 sold to Carleton (Monroe Co.),MI through FireTec, in 2007 finally replaced with KME quint
