So 1 of the '86 Pierce Lance pumpers, when new, was assigned to E3. Then that rig went to E1 and from there Reserve Engine 7?
And the other Was at E2 and from there to Reserve Engine 2?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry yes for the confusion
Engine 3 new 1986-1996, Engine 1 1996-2004 and Reserve Engine 7 2004-current.
Engine 2 new 1986-1994, Reserve Engine 6 1994-current.
Engine 6 did not serve very long front line due to Lawrence starting to change the sub-stations to Quints in the early 1990's. Also the 1967 Seagrave Reserve Engines were well worn by 1994 and they needed to be replaced. Althought they were very classic. After 1992 and 1994 there were two Pierce Suburban Ford C-8000's in reserve ex Engine 1 with Q siren and ex Engine 4 without Q siren.
