Now serves as the second out or called Engine 2. Lake Quivira is on the Johnson County Fire Alarm and since they are only one fire house with two engines and volunteer they were assigned Engine 1 and Engine 2 as their ID. They respond to 75-80 calls a year and are the only fully volunteer fire department left in Johnson County. Automatic response by Shawnee, Kansas Quint 72 for all still alarms and EMS. Shawnee provides a full first alarm assignment of three pumps, one quint, and battalion chief for reported fires. Lake Quivira purchased a new International/ E\-One in 2005 to replace the 1964 FWD.
