Thank goodness it only took two rounds of Midi-Pumpers and Quints for KCFD to get back on track. These were the first Midi's purchased as the Second Piece to Quint 28,38,42, Pumper 16,10. Squad 27 was stand alone on the far east-side between Pumper 23 and Pumper 24. In 1993 six new E\-One/ Freightliner RED Midi's were purchased to replace the above. They were all phased out by 1997 and disposed of.
