Chief Riley is still a member at Kentland (life) and is possibly a line officer. He is also a chief officer in Clearwater Fl. fd.
Also in regards to the whole apparatus/station designation topic. My understanding of the subject was that it was to make apparatus running into mutual aid areas easier to ID to unfamiliar IC's. It was up to each jurisdiction as to how they would implement the system. I.E. use COG numbers in everyday operations inside and outside the county or just use the numbers when you run mutual aid. My station is and always will be station 7, not station 807. But this horse has been beat many times over and until the COD changes it we have to live with it.
