There was an interesting story behind these pictures at Steele Creek. After fellow firepixer Andrew and I introduced ourselves to the guys at the station, a mentally unstable guy came up to us and said he had been assaulted. As the guys at the station were trying to assess him, he kept trying to run out in traffic in a busy South Tryon St. It turns out he was just mad at his roommate for not letting him smoke. After 45 minutes of watching the cops and MEDIC the guy finally got transported to the hospital where he could get the help he needed and we got our pics. If you can imagine it, it probably happens in Charlotte like other big cities.
