We have the same lightbar on two other apparatus, the former Engine 1 (1997) and Squad 3 (2001). We have never had any trouble with either one. We have a strobe bar on Engine 2 and have had both bulb and power supply issues. There are LED warning lights on Engine 1, as well as halogen revolving lights.. I don't believe that any one type of light, nor any one color of light, is the answer. Each type has their strong points. Engine 1 has a variety of light types and colors, to be seen in a variety of conditions.
