1942 International K-Series, full cab, 500/400. Purchased used in 1953 from the Bristol Volunteer Fire Company #6 - Bristol Borough (Bucks County) to become their first truck. Bristol had purchased it used in 1946 from the War Assets Corporation and installed a new pump in 1951. It was housed on 2/27/54. It was involved in a accident a couple of months later on 6/1/54 while responding to a call when it collided head-on with a firefighter responding to the station just outside of the village. It engine was demolished and the firefighter responding in his POV (Everett Carpenter Russell) lost his life, 5 firefighters on the engine were injured. The Fire chief was driving the engine.
