Wow thanks for posting. It was always a favorite in Johnson County, really a neat rig. It is a walk-in Rescue with the FDNY split rear doors and Federal Aero-Dynic Mini Light Bars on the rear.
This used to be Mission, Kansas Fire District 1/ Mission Fire Department Inc. Rescue 560. This was purchased in 1982 to replace a 1960's Ford Van. This unit responded to all Entrapment-Pin Job's and also made fire's for lighting and support. It was acquired by Consolidated Fire District 2 when they adsorbed Mission in 1989 and became Rescue 261. CFD2 operated this rig until 1995ish when it was sold. Fellow Fire Pixer Eng61ine's father was Captain on the Engine 520 housed with this Rescue at Mission. I know he responded with it or on it from time to time. Thanks again, Rick
NOTE: The Q siren used to be mounted on a stanchion centered below the windshield while at Mission/ CFD 2. Also the electronic siren speaker is not original and added after it left CFD2.
