Haddam and East Haddam are two separate and distinct Towns in Middlesex County. All of the Haddam apparatus are Yellow like the one shown. Haddam- located on the West side of the Connecticut River operates from 3 stations with 3 pumpers, a rescue, a tanker and 4 brush trucks. A small corner of the Town of Haddam lies on the East Side of the River and is protected by the Haddam Neck Fire Department (Department 16) which operates out of a single station with an Engine, a Tanker, a Rescue and Brush Truck.
East Haddam (Department 15), the largest town in Middlesex County in land area, lies on the East Side of the CT River. The East Haddam Fire Department operates with RED, not YELLOW Fire Trucks from 3 stations.
