How it looked in the '60's (I drove the two on the left - their last open-cabs, & their last gasoline-powered rigs. They would have only one more Pontiac - a '70. Sorry for the Scotch tape in the middle.)

The position of the US Flag, between two fire trucks as shown, can be determined as the flag is displayed for over the middle of the street. It should be suspended vertically with the union to the north in an east and west street or to the east in a north and south street.
Not sure how this fits this fire house or the direction the apparatus shown are heading.
