1980 Ford C Started as Engine 273 Twins The top is the '72 Maxim that was 471(pictured right after rehab in'84) The bottom is the '72 Maxim twin to 471 that was Engine 71 471 moved on to Co 32 in 1986 when it was replaced at 47 with the 1986 Seagrave,it then became Engine 322 71 was destroyed in an accident ,I think the accident was in April of 1989 At one time,Maxim was well represented in PG,Ahhh,the good ol' days! credit to the photographer on 71 Berwyn Heights VFD in 1968-I think this picture was taken at Beltway Plaza Truck 14-1968 Maxim 100' Tiller Squad 14-1967 GMC/Bruco Truck 14 received a Spartan cab in 1986,which is also posted here in this thread In 1980 the GMC cab on the squad was replaced by a Mack MC,I think the body was the same Bruco Credit to the photographer
man PG county had some real beauties of apparatus back then!

There were 2 of the 1968 GMC/Bruco's? Was one purchased new by PG? Where was it assigned? Another was purchased from Lynchburg. Did Lynchburg refurb the body prior to it being sold to PG? The Morningside GMC/Bruco was a 1962 that was volunteer owned until I think 1978 or 79 when PG bought a Kenworth and placed the 1962 Bruco body on it.
