Twins

The top is the '72 Maxim that was 471(pictured right after rehab in'84)

The bottom is the '72 Maxim twin to 471 that was Engine 71

471 moved on to Co 32 in 1986 when it was replaced at 47 with the 1986 Seagrave,it then became Engine 322

71 was destroyed in an accident ,I think the accident was in April of 1989

At one time,Maxim was well represented in PG,Ahhh, the good ol' days!

Truck 14-1968 Maxim 100' Tiller

Squad 14-1967 GMC/Bruco

Truck 14 received a Spartan cab in 1986,which is also posted here in this thread

In 1980 the GMC cab on the squad was replaced by a Mack MC,I think the body was the same Bruco

Mdmodeler,

I am really confused on the GMC/Bruco' squad's in PG.

There were 2 of the 1968 GMC/Bruco's?

Was one purchased new by PG? Where was it assigned?

Another was purchased from Lynchburg. Did Lynchburg refurb the body prior to it being sold to PG? It went to 47.

I would greatly appreciate any clairification.

Thanks,

The squad that came from Lynchburg was already refurbished when PG got it.The only thing PG did at the time was change the lettering and put a red stripe on it.

The Morningside GMC/Bruco was a 1962 that was volunteer owned until I think 1978 or 79 when PG bought a Kenworth and placed the 1962 Bruco body on it.
