Ed, do you know if Cheshire still owns the open cab Maxim snorkel? Also, in your travels around NW CT, did you ever get a photograph of a Peterbuilt or similar commercial cabover engine in Cornwall? I think it runs out of their Cornwall Bridge station and saw it behind another engine in an old post of yours a couple of years back on the old, old site and it appeared to be an unusual piece. Thanks much!

Sorry, I don't know the status of Cheshire's Truck 1. It is still listed on their website as being in service at Station 3 as of 2004. http://www.cheshirefd.org/Equipment%20and%...tus/Truck-1.htm

Here's Cornwall 20 - It is a GMC/White, they may also have a Pete rig too I will have to look through the pics on my hard drive.

They also have an ALF Pinoneer that I'd like to get a good shot of...the only one I got is from a long ways of through the wood at a working fire.

Well that's it until after the weekend - I am off on vacation to Cape Cod until Monday! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> I hate having taken over this thread like this - com'on folks there has to be some more CT stuff out there. I've never been to the South Eastern part of the state - there's the Groton Sub Base, Mystic Seaport New Haven, Bridgeport, Danbury all have active depts...I get back I got some Hartford & surrounding area stuff.

Here's a tease of it.

Thanks Ed! I think that was the one I was looking for. All I remember was it wasn't a run of the mill cab, and I couldn't see what it was as the engine as it was hidden behind the rig you were posting the photo of. If they do really run a Pete in addition to this one, I'd love to see it! Thanks for posting your great photos of a very rarely seen area of CT and PLEASE keep them coming! Hope you have a great trip!
