Joel, I can't say either way for sure. I was told that one chief truck burned up, one was underwater, every rig had water up to or past the windshield and there were numerous failures of electrical, pumps and motors. They did say that Seagrave was sending a few techs to try and get that up and running. The career guys were running in a 90's Pierce that usually belongs to the Maple Blvd/E-1 and that was the only service LBFD had besides the mutual aid crews. These guys had a fire at the peak of the storm and flood that burned up 8 houses on a block that they took a zodiac with a trash pump to, and when the engine arrived in 4 feet of water the pump failed. Extreme bravery and duty by these guys, who lost everything themselves. Here's E-3 on the hook:
