The Mack came in red. It went from Truck 8 to Truck 9. Heard it had an issue with going under a train track near Route 21. Came back repainted Lime with the red lettering and stripe.

Did it fit after the repaint ?

lol not sure - they reassigned it to a more "open" area - Mt Pleasent Ave as T-6. There were less overpasses.

Looks like this was taken at the annual Boonton Fire Department Parade usually held on Saturday of Labor Day weekend for the past 100+ years. In the background is Boonton Chrysler Plymouth which moved to heavily travelled NJ Route 23 in Butler in the 1990's adding Jeep. Anyone who has a chance to get to that parade it starts at 1:30 pm in the afternoon but in the event of rain it is rescheduled for Labor Day Monday at noon, a really good parade with a lot of apparatus and many marching fire companies most of them bringing bands or drum corps to march behind.

As a point of interest, this pumper, after it was refurbed, was used in the the Rescue Me series and also was utilized as a flower car for FDNY funerals in Rockland & Orange counties after 9/11. This was due to the severe apparatus shortage after the WTC attack. It is owned privately.
