Next is Squad 11 is a 2006 E\-One typhoon. Squad 11 came to Summerville via a grant and runs Haz-Mat calls, assists local police agencies with crystal meth labs, runs motor vehicle and any rescue calls for all four stations in Summerville. Because this truck was on a grant this truck can be immobilized South Carolina mutual aid immobilization. Squad 11 as you can see runs out of Weber Station (Station 1). On the last picture I forgot to mention Truck 3 is also a Typhoon cab.

Last pic from Summerville is our 1929 American La France, Engine 2, most well known as Big Bertha. This truck was dedicated to one of our past fire chief's John Weber. I have to credit my wife for this picture, this was taken last december at the Christmas parade we host in town every year. This is one awsome picture, driving Bertha is our fire chief.

As you can tell, it was getting late in the day and these next shots aren't my best work. For that I apologize but I have no idea when I will be back in the area, so bad shots are better than no shots the way I saw it.

I can't positively say, but it "looks" like one they had at Simpsonville, #7515. The specs are the same and Simpsonville had more than one.

According to the chief of Cross Anchor (who knows several guys from Woodruff and was a former member there), something fell through at the last minute with the purchase the Pete/Saulsbury from New Kensington. According to him, the town council initially was going to give them the money to buy it but in the end backed out. I have not been by Woodruff yet to confirm this however.

Here are a few more Relics, However, NO sad endings here. Thanks to Travis Stafford in Spartanburg SC. for letting me shoot these rigs. They are part of the Carolina Rekindle society. part oF SPAAMFAA. He had the American lafrance (Which has been Posted before) Idling in the front yard as I was driving by, so I just HAD to stop. There was also 1960 Mack C and an American lafrance Ladder under a tarp I did not get a pic of. However, Here is a 1973 Seagrave That served at the BMW plant in Spartanburg, Where she started service At I dont remember. I was too busy talking and not taking notes. Ha!
