as when I visited Detroit I was only around Station 1 once it was dark, and everyone was crowded around the front on the pad, so you couldn't see it.

 

If you look it up on Google maps, you can kind of see it too!

It may not be the great flame filled images we like to see but it was great to see some well coordinated and sucessful fireground operations.

I love flame-filled images as much as the next guy but I especially like the photos displayed in this thread.  They capture the down-and-dirty aspect of "everyday" firefighting.
