After 3 nights in Victoria we took the ferry to Port Angeles / WA. Our destination was the City of Chehalis, where my wife has an aunt. On a side-trip we visited the main station from the Bainbridge Island FD for a photo of their Metz ladder.

Ladder 21 is a 2002 HME 1871 with bodywork from General Safety. It has a 1500 gpm-pump, a 300 gwt, and a 103' Metz ladder.

For the next 16 days my wife stayed with her aunt and I did a photo-tour, that brought me to Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Northern Oregon.

The first FD that I visited was the nearby Station 1 of the West Thurston County Fire Authority. This combination department protects an area south of the City of Olympia out of 6 stations.

Engine 1-1 in Rochester is a 2007 ALF Eagle with 1500 gpm-pump, 500 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam.

For photos of the new Rosenbauer aerials in the City of Tacoma I contacted the Tacoma FD in advance. I met a very nice Batallion-Chief, who ordered the trucks at one shooting-point.

Engine 11 in Tacoma is one of two 2012 Spartan Gladiator with Rosenbauer bodywork, 1500 gpm-pump, 400 gwt, and a 68' RoadRunner boom.

Ladder 2 in Tacoma is a 2998 Spartan Gladiator with Rosenbauer bodywork and 109' Viper ladder.

You may notice, that I had a slight focus on Rosenbauer apparatus on that trip, this was for a special reason.
