Dave great post! I just learned today Silver Creek, NY is fixing engine 171 the 1983 ALF Century Ex. Orchard Park engine 2. Engine 174 which you posted is taking a dump as well, I guess they have been babying that truck. Sliver Creek is looking to replace the Ward La France with a brand new engine but will not have the money for another 3-4 years for a new rig.





It's not a great pic but I"ll post it anyway Village of Depew, NY engine 6 West End Hose Company 1968 Ward La France ambassador. This truck was replaced in 2001 by one of the twin RD Murray/ALF Eagle rescue pumpers. The other went to Depew Hose Co. no. 1 which also replaced a Ward La France Ambassador.

Boynton Beach, FL had this 197? Ward LaFrance 1000/500 Pumper as Engine 810. It spent some time lime before it was repainted the correct colors of red/white.

Palm Beach Community College Fire Academy's 1973 Ward LaFrance/Gator 1000/500 Pumper. I think this one belonged to Boca Raton or Boynton Beach before being given to the fire academy.

Formerly of the Trail Park Fire Control District #7 in Lake Worth, FL, this 197? Ward LaFrance 1250?750 Pumper #710 eventually became part of Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue where it ran for several years. I think it was eventually refurbed by Gator.
