Austin, Tx Fire/Rescue
Austin Fire-EMS Station 45 is getting the finishing touches...

It was initially supposed to have a 2009 Pierce Contender, which was reassigned and now they are going to be assigned a Spartan/Quality. (Unknown former Engine #'s) until the next round of engines come in.

Brush truck is up in the air.....

Medic unit is up in the air as well...

I don't have a roster, Billy might. I can give you some tips depending on how long and where you will be, PM me if interested...

Their website is really informative, but you need to poke around it alot:

I know there aren't a lot of buffs in Austin, and I know that COA Fleet doesn't even have a proper list! I'm sure the FD may have one, but not compiled as a roster.

Something is really missing from those impels, I bet they would look sharp in the darker red with gold leaf like the first generation quantums

Does anyone have any photos of the "old" platforms that used to be a 1 and 8? I think there may have been a third one but I am not sure. Were they Grumman, maybe?
