One of the Hahn Aerials delivered to Washington DC. 1983 Hahn 106' Fire Spire B Schwartz photo

The Aerial was one of two 106' Fire Spire Aerials, the other was an 1982 delivery.

Notice the extended jumpseat area, the 1982 aerial did not have this feature.

A third Hahn tiller with a LTI aerial was delivered in 1981.

The DC Hahn order was the largest order from any department for Hahn, with a total of 25 trucks, 22 were engines 1250gpm/500gwt

(Boston ordered 19 Engines from 1970-1971 and another 3 in 1978 for a total of 22 engines.)

There were another 7 Hahn tillers, delivered to near by departments in Maryland and Virginia, and one to New Jersey

Maryland

Chillum-Adelphia 1968 100' Thibault

District Heights 1970 100' Grove

Silver Spring 1968 100' Thibault

Waldorf 1981 100' LTI

Virginia

Arlington two LTI 100' TDA in 1979

Falls Church 1973 100' Grove

Woodbridge 1982 Fire Spire 106'

Camden NJ, a 1986 Hahn tiller 106' Fire Spire Aerial

Note, another 4 Hahn chassis were delivered as Tractors, one for Stone Wall VA, one for Reading PA, and one for East Providence and another to Pawtuxet RI.

Everything I learn about Hahn is what I get from your captions. I'm surprised I am able to share some trivia with you:

The telltale indicator of a 1980-81 DCFD Hahn is the rotating beacon atop the cab and the Circle-D light on a pedestal next to the 1 ½” cross load. The first 14 Hahns had this arrangement. The three 1982 DCFD Hahns had a rotating beacon and a row of three spotlights in lieu of the Circle-D; The five 1983 DCFD Hahns had the 84-92 flared cab with a lightbar on top.

Keep up the great work (as well as all you other Hahn posters!).
