Everytime I see this rig, I fall in love. lol. Has got to be one of the best looking rigs ever. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

A lot of trucking around different states has occurred recently, and more is about to happen in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned. Here are some of the recent rigs.

Interesting story behind this unit. Carlisle Fire & Rescue will be hosting the Cumberland County Fireman's Convention this year. This unit is privately owned in California, and originally served the Cumberland Fire Co. in Carlisle. It was flatbedded back to PA in June to be part of many events leading upto to the Convention parade. Since it has been back it has won quite a few awards at events around PA. The owner is planning to drive it in the Convention Parade on September 11th. Anybody that is interested, this is going to be a very large event. Numerous thousands in cash prizes to be awarded. At this point I heard from as far away as North Carolina will be attending.

Got out on Saturday 9/4/10 for some photos with my Dad (EMS12). We went up into Lehigh County. Here are two of my favorites. I'm sure he will post the others under his thread.

On Sunday 9/5/10 I decided to make another trip up to NYC. I was with a friend for most of the afternoon, before finding out that another photographer was in the same area. I met up with Mike(fdnytrucks), and Ron Jeffers(Not sure if Ron is on here or not). I want to thank them for letting me tag along. The Engine 273 shot below wouldn't have happened without them.

Good to see the Carroll Manor rescue truck back in service, the very first call they ran with it... a person not paying attention hit it, spun around hit it again, spun around 1 more time and hit a third time. Here are pictures from Carroll Manor's website http://carrollmanorfire.com

Today was the Cumberland County Convention, hosted by the Carlisle Fire & Rescue. It was a beautiful day, and a lot of rigs were on hand. Unfortunately where judging was, wasn't the best for photos. I managed to grab a few. The first one below, was the best looking rig that I saw today. I want to thank Cosgrove for moving it for photos. It really is a stunning rig, and needs to be seen in person.

Cosgrove - If you want or need any photos from today, let me know.

The next was another favorite, and a tough one to get.

Went out and about in Maryland today. Here are a couple that I wanted to post. The rig I photographed at the end of the day was the highlight in my book. I'll save that one for hungrybus though!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' />

Pat, does Carroll Manor still have their refurbed Mack R engine?
Reply

Carroll Manor's refurbed Mack r was involved in a roll over a few years ago, and I believe destroyed. It is not there anymore. They purchased, or acquired a used Seagrave pumper/tanker from the City of Frederick that they now run as their engine/tanker.
